  • Job Title: Banking Assistant - Branch Banking

Job Description:

Seylan Bank is currently seeking experienced individuals to join our Branch Banking team in the North and East branches. As a Banking Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting with various banking operations.

Banking Assistant Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in branch banking.
  • GCE Ordinary Level examination with Five (05) Credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • GCE Advanced Level examination with Three (03) Passes, excluding General English.
  • Degree or equivalent full/part professional qualification in Banking from a recognized university/institution (preferred).
  • Smart, intelligent, and possessing a pleasing personality.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Sinhala/Tamil languages.
  • IT literacy and familiarity with banking software.

Banking Assistant responsibilities (General)

  • Provide efficient and friendly customer service to clients visiting the branch.
  • Assist customers with their banking needs, including account inquiries, transactions, and product information.
  • Process cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers.
  • Handle cheque clearing and other payment-related activities.
  • Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch targets and objectives.
