- Job Title: Banking Assistant - Branch Banking
Job Description:
Seylan Bank is currently seeking experienced individuals to join our Branch Banking team in the North and East branches. As a Banking Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting with various banking operations.
Banking Assistant Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in branch banking.
- GCE Ordinary Level examination with Five (05) Credits, including Mathematics and English.
- GCE Advanced Level examination with Three (03) Passes, excluding General English.
- Degree or equivalent full/part professional qualification in Banking from a recognized university/institution (preferred).
- Smart, intelligent, and possessing a pleasing personality.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Sinhala/Tamil languages.
- IT literacy and familiarity with banking software.
Banking Assistant responsibilities (General)
- Provide efficient and friendly customer service to clients visiting the branch.
- Assist customers with their banking needs, including account inquiries, transactions, and product information.
- Process cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers.
- Handle cheque clearing and other payment-related activities.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch targets and objectives.
